Soaring Tree Top Adventures^® Durango Train Information

Because Soaring Tree Top Adventures^® is accessible only by train (there is no road access) we have joined with the Durango & Silverton Railroad to provide your transportation to and from Soaring^®. Visitors from all over the world come to Durango for the chance to ride the D&SNG train, so you will actually be enjoying two vacation highlights: your Soaring^® Canopy Tour and the trip on the Durango & Silverton RR!

New in 2009, Soaring^® guests will ride in luxury in their own private, First-Class train cars, the Tall Timber Legend and Tall Timber Legacy. Soaring guests will check-in with a Soaring^® representative upon boarding their train car and may sit where they choose in these beautifully appointed train cars. Unlike other First Class seating options, Soaring's^® First Class cars are open to guests of all ages. Your First Class train tickets are included in the Soaring^® price and your train reservations are made by Soaring.^®

For non-Soaring^® individuals traveling to Silverton for the day that would like to purchase seats in Soaring's^® First Class train cars the Tall Timbers Legend or Tall Timber Legacy, please either call Soaring^® 970-769-2357 or book online.

You can either take the train from the Downtown Durango train station or from the Rockwood station (26 miles north of Durango) to get to Soaring Tree Top Adventures^®.

Durango Downtown Station: Train departs at 8:15AM. Be there 1/2 hour prior to departure, and check-in with the Soaring representative outside of the red "Tall Timber" cars. No train ticket is required - your name will be on the reservation manifest with the Soaring^® representative.

Rockwood Station: Train arrives at the Rockwood Station at approximately 9:24 AM. Please be parked and ready by 9:00 AM. Board the train next to the small building with the sign “Rockwood Boarding Point.” You'll be greeted by our Soaring^® representative, and once you are checked in, you may sit where you like in our cars.

The D&SNGRR arrives at Soaring Tree Top Adventures^® at 10:09 am., but you must meet the times above in order to make it to Soaring® on time!
